Which bus?

We offer a number of discounts on First and Arriva buses for full or part time bus travel.

If you work on Severalls Industrial Estate, North Colchester Business Park or on Axial Way, you can find a more detailed bus map here.

Please note that First have withdrawn their service 65  peak hour loop around the business park although this is still reflected on our map at the moment.

Arriva, First and Greater Anglia offer apps where you can check timetable information, get real time information on the service you are waiting for and purchase tickets.

Some Travel Plan Club members have their own discounted ticket schemes offering even bigger discounts. If you work for Colchester Institute, Colchester Hospital University Foundation Trust, The University of Essex or Colchester Borough Council, find out more here.

Colchester Park and Ride

The P&R is located off junction 28 on the A12 and offers a frequent, comfortable and quick service into the Town Centre. The P&R also stops at the hospital, train station and Middleborough. You can find out more information on the Essex County Council website.

A daily ticket is only £3 and allows unlimited travel on P&R buses along the route. Weekly and monthly tickets offer an even better deal. The Colchester Travel Plan club is unable to offer any discounts on this service, but you can access up to 20% discount through bulk buying tickets directly from Essex County Council.  Email or telephone 0345 743 0430 to express your interest.

The Travel Plan Club stock discounted bus carnet tickets for part time travel for First and Arriva. Request your tickets using the form below, you can pay online once we have provided you with a reference number and you can either collect them or we will send them by post.

Season tickets - bus travel

To access the discounted monthly season tickets please complete the application below and we will send you the details.

First are changing their scheme from a paper ticket to a Mobile ticket. If you are interested in this please complete the application form and we will let you know when it is up and running.

The direct debit deals have no minimum contract, so you can cancel at any time.

Discounts - train travel

You can check the timetable from your local station on Greater Anglia's website.  Season ticket prices vary depending on where you are travelling from. Use the Greater Anglia season ticket calculator to see what a season ticket would cost before the 10% discount is applied.

If your organisation's Travel Plan has been accredited by Essex County Council you can gain an additional 5% discount on quarterly season tickets and longer.

There are additional benefits if you commit to an annual travel card - you receive three months free travel and numerous discounts on traveling with your family and friends for leisure.
